How we approach it

A TV wall is much more than a place to hang a screen. In many Dubai villas, the living room has one long, plain wall facing the sofa, and the TV ends up floating on it with a tangle of cables, a router and a soundbar underneath. A gypsum (drywall) TV unit turns that wall into a designed feature: the screen sits in a recessed or framed panel, the cables disappear inside the wall, and niches, shelves and closed cabinets give everything a place.

The current trends in Dubai villas mix several ideas. A slightly projecting gypsum panel with an indirect warm LED strip around it makes the wall glow in the evening. Open niches on one or both sides display books or objects, often with their own small lights. Many owners add an electric or water-vapour fireplace insert under the screen for a cosy effect without real flames. Fluted panels, wooden slats or a marble-effect slab behind the TV add texture; a floating console below keeps the floor free and hides the devices.

What makes a TV wall work is the technical part you no longer see once it is finished. The bracket has to be fixed into a reinforced structure, not into a plain gypsum board, especially for large screens. Conduits and a back box behind the TV let you change cables later without opening the wall. Sockets, HDMI and network points are placed at the right height, and devices that get warm, like a console or an amplifier, need ventilation inside the cabinet. In Dubai we also look at where the AC blows: gypsum and paint near a cold supply vent can suffer from condensation, so we position the unit and choose the boards accordingly.

We start from your screen size and the distance to the sofa, then draw the wall with you: proportions, niches, lighting, materials and storage. You see the design before anything is built, and the quote lists every element so you know exactly what you are getting.

Frequently asked questions

Can a gypsum TV wall hold a large TV?

Yes, if it is designed for it. The bracket is fixed into a reinforced structure or directly into the wall behind, never only into the gypsum board. We check the weight and size of your TV at the visit and plan the reinforcement accordingly.

Where do the cables go?

Inside the wall, in conduits that lead to a box behind the TV and to the cabinet below. That way you can add or change a cable later without opening the gypsum. We plan the sockets, HDMI and network points with you.

Can you add a fireplace effect to my TV wall in DAMAC Hills 2?

Yes. Electric or water-vapour fireplace inserts fit into the gypsum unit, usually under the screen. They give a warm effect without real flames or a chimney. We plan the space, ventilation and power supply for the model you choose.

Will the TV wall crack or suffer from the AC?

Cracks usually come from weak framing, poor joints or condensation. We use a proper frame, reinforce the joints and look at where the AC blows, choosing moisture-resistant boards where needed. Letting the joints and paint dry properly before use also matters.
